Breath 101 - 20 hr pranayama training

Breath is inseparable from life. Its flow is mirrored in the flow of all things and our connection to it influences every aspect of who we are. Ancient practices such as yoga have always known this and have developed techniques to harness, expand and work with the breath. These practices, known as pranayama, influence our energy, mood, health, sleep, vitality, and well-being.
In this 20-hour virtual training, you will gain the confidence to integrate pranayama into your practices and teachings in a way that is safe, effective, and supportive.
This training will include:

Yogic philosophy of pranayama and its application to life

Anatomy of breathing

Understanding prana, the pranic body and how to bring it into balance

Pranayama techniques for emotional, mental and physical health

How to integrate pranayama safely into a practice

Breath as a system for living in harmony
This training is for anyone who wishes to gain a deeper understanding of what it means to breathe well.

Trauma Informed Yoga Training

This Trauma Informed Yoga Training will provide an understanding of the embodied impacts of trauma and how to offer safe and suitable yoga, somatic and mindfulness practices.
This training assumes that all individuals have been impacted by some form of trauma or significant life stress and thus this approach will foster safe, inclusive, and appropriate practices for everyone.
Expect a combination of lectures, interactive exploration, experience-based learning, and practical skills to provide a well-rounded education experience. Students will develop their understanding how yoga can build an individual’s capacity for regulation and resilience.
This program is appropriate for individuals interested in self-healing, yoga teachers and mental health professionals alike, who are looking to increase their skill base when working with trauma.
